Service Description

Private sessions are designed to give you real, hands-on experience working with your dog - so you leave not just with progress, but with the understanding to continue confidently on your own. Location is flexible. While sessions can be held at our training space, your trainer may recommend starting in your home if your dog struggles with distractions or if your goals are centred around everyday behaviours. Training within your home environment is often the most effective approach for addressing things like door manners, counter surfing, kitchen boundaries, and overall household respect. If you’re unsure which option is best, you’re welcome to book a free phone call to talk directly with your trainer and create a plan that fits your dog, your lifestyle, and your goals. Prior to your session, there’s no need to purchase any training tools. Your trainer will bring a variety of collars, leashes, and equipment needed for the session, and will take the time to figure out what works best for your dog. We recommend having high-value treats, toys, a treat pouch, your dog’s everyday collar and leash, and poop bags on hand - the rest will be provided. During your session, your trainer will record portions of the training - either by setting up a camera or filming hands-on work. This ensures you leave with personalized guidance you can revisit, helping you stay consistent and clear on the training plan moving forward. Family members or anyone who plays a consistent role in your dog’s life are encouraged to attend the session. This helps build consistency, routine, and structure, and ensures everyone is on the same page. If it’s not possible for everyone to attend, no worries - that’s where the video becomes incredibly valuable. It also allows you to step into a stronger handler and leadership role by confidently guiding others on how to work with your dog, creating lasting patterns in your dog’s life where real change happens. These sessions are built around participation. You won’t just watch... you’ll do. Hands-on learning is essential, and your trainer will guide you through each step with clear demonstrations, real-time coaching, and in-depth explanations of both the “how” and the “why.” Questions are always encouraged, because understanding is what creates lasting results.
